Late Night Cake Dilemma..help!!!

I am replicating a building and cannot seem to get the roof overhang right. I used RKT to replicate the roof but they are not stiff enough to hold for an overhang on the roof.
Any suggestions?

The cake is for tomorrow evening.....

How about supporting them underneath with some bamboo skewers? Sort of like "beams".

Perhaps covering something stiffer, like a peppermint stick or pirouline (sp?) stick? Just a thought!

I see them cover the RKT with white chocolate to make them really stiff, maybe try that?
