Hi all!
I'm in the process of trying to start pricing my cakes for selling however I was daunted at the prospect of having to weigh out cup measurements of everything to establish what it costs to make each cake etc (so finding out how many cups I get out of a 1kg bag of flour etc to establish cost per cake).
Anyway, I had a look in google and found the following website which I think may have answered my prayers, and thought it may help someone else too!
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere already but I couldn't find it myself!
http://earthnotes.tripod.com/cookbook.htm
try this one too
http://allrecipes.com/howto/cup-to-gram-conversions/detail.aspx
And another one- great info, thanks!!
I had visions of me bringing out every single ingredient I ever use and putting cupfuls on the scales, which would be a mammoth task with me having a tiny kitchen and a 2 year old hanging, neglected, from my ankles! ![]()
Here are two I have bookmarked.
A different one from All Recipes
http://allrecipes.com/HowTo/baking-ingredient-conversions/detail.aspx
and this one for stuff that's not on that one
http://www.ghostcalc.com/cooking-measurement-converter.html
I'm a big fan of King Arthur Flour's weight chart, there's just about anything you can imagine on it.
