I am looking for a yummy frosting recipe, I want it to be thick and creamy but I dont want it to crust like buttercream. I would like to be able to add different flavors to change the taste. Any suggestions? Thx!!!

When I mix my IMBC I use the method on the SMBC tutorial where you whip the butter in slowly so it emulsifies better.
If you don't want to try the IMBC , give Charlotte's whipped cream buttercream a try. You can do all shortening, all butter, or half and half and it's good. It doesn't crust but it has the texture and consistency of thick whipped cream.
