Friends of mine have requested a cake like the picture in the link below. How do I get this color/look?

It looks like this cake has gotten wet somehow...with the bleeding on the ribbon. not sure if it's buttercream or not..hhhmmm

This purple looks like royal purple by americolor to me. Start with little color , add more as you achieve the color. Others may have a different point of view. Its not violet, but more royal purple.
