My boss asked me to make a half sheet cake for his daughters birthday. He asked for chocolate cake with half of it filled with custard and the other half strawberry filling. I found some good recipes for the fillings however I'm not sure what to use for the icing? What would taste food with those? I was thinking chocolate buttercream but then how do I decorate?(something I can figure out later if I end up doing chocolate buttercream) What other ideas do you have for an icing? I told him I would have an answer when I got to work today and I leave for work in an hour. AH!

Thanks in advance!

How about bettercreme? Tastes like whipped cream frosting. Ypu buy it commercially. Do a google search. I know GFS has it. Good luck.

I think chocolate buttercream would be good.

You can decorate a chocolate buttercream cake just like you ice any other cakes. icon_smile.gif A lot of colors will pop with the chocolate base.
