It's been awhile since I've done a fondant covered cake. I was covering 4 tiers of my brothers wedding cake yesterday and was having problems getting the bottom edge clean. I'm glad for ribbon to hide some of the flaws but I could use some tips on getting smooth sides and a clean cut bottom edge. Need some practice before I'm gonna feel confident doing another one.

Well, unfortunately I will not be able to offer any advice because the same thing always happens to me!! It is so hard for me to cover a cake with fondant. I always end up with puckering around the bottom!! I've become very creative with covering it up. I would love to be able to make a perfectly covered fondant cake that wouldn't even need a border!! I've even watched tutorials...I guess as with anything else it is just practice, practice, practice!!!
