What Can I Use To Get A Major Sparkle Effect?

I really love the look of disco dust but I know its not edible...I have a hot pink tier that I'm making for a cake and I would love to find something that really makes it sparkle but can also be eaten. Luster dust just doesn't seem to sparkle enough. Any ideas? Thanks in advance icon_smile.gif

Sanding sugar mixed w/ edible cake sparkles and luster dust works well.

Disco dust...comes in a variety of colors.

Airbrush that part of the cake with pearl.

I saw edible glitter, different from disco dust, at Country Kitchen's web site.

Disco Dust isn't edible! Darn, I wanted to try it out but didn't want to pay shipping so I settled for cake sparkles. I'm glad I did now.

Thanks everybody! I think I'm going to attempt the sugar, I found it in hot pink icon_smile.gif ...do I just brush the cake with a lil bit of water and attach it like that?

I tried the sanding sugar and didn't like it. You could use a pearl spray. I believe it comes in pink.

Michael's carries edible glitter in a few colors...I always like the clear, looks like little diamonds! Good luck! Would love to see the finished cake!
