Has anyone seen a new style of Ateco Baking Nails? I believe there was 3 in a package. I read about it online somewhere and I thought it was on Cake Central.
I just bought 3 packs of the Ateco Heating cores from pastry chef. com. They are $3.99 and come with in 4 in a pack. I haven't used them yet but I always used the Wilton flower nails as make shift cores so I expect these to work. These are stainless steel so they shouldn't rust like the Wilton nails (I know it is because they aren't meant to be baked
).
Each package comes with a helpful diagram to tell you how many cores to use for various pan sizes.
Edited to say: OP, you were right-you probably read about them in a post here because I read about them on CC.
I hope this helps!! ![]()

Yes. 4 per pack. I think they're the greatest invention. I put the link in at some other thread. They're flat, which is great.
Thanks everyone!! I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out where I saw the link and now know I was not imagining it!
Thanks again,
Beverly
I want to get some-can someone give me the information on how many you use for 10", 12", 14" pans and 18" half round? Want to be sure I get enough of these babies!
I just ordered mine thanks for the info.... I also did a price check between Ateco's price & shipping & Sur-la-table's and it was like a $0.20 difference... & Sur-la-table's are $5.00 I did see one of their stores locally so I will check them out...but still ordered on line from Ateco just in case Sur-la-table didn't carry them. By the location it's in a high end area so they may only carry high end product line. But thank again for posting this
I have had mine for several months and LOVE them. I bought 3 packages in order to have plenty and they are worth every penny.
