Last night i tried making the recipe from kitchen crafts. I haven't baked any yet. I was thinking of doing Antonia's icing. But i'm wondering if it'll taste good w/chocolate cookies too? Can i add chocolate liquor to gave it taste? I have tried using chocolate melts for nfsc, but couldn't smooth it out nice. Any suggestions?

I use RBC and/or RI when I make chocolate rolled cookies. I usually flavor them with some creme bouquet or almond extract. Tastes great! HTH! thumbs_up.gif

I use the same icing regardless of whether the cookies are vanilla or chocolate. I don't think it will matter.

I use royal or the color flow icing for any rolled out cookie. You can experiment with flavors but the basic recipes taste great with either.

I've used raspberry, orange, cherry and almond extract flavoured RI with my cookies, and all have tasted really yummy - just remember not to use an oil based extract if using royal, or it won't dry!!
