Take a real zipper the size that you want your fondant one to be and wash and dry it thoroughly. Take the clean zipper and press it into some softened gum paste. Let it dry completely. Soften a bit of fondant and roll it out into a strip about 1/4 inch thick. Press this into the gum paste mold and then remove and trim to size.
You can take a brand new zipper and press it into fondant...it leaves a great realistic impression...

The problem I always have is with the zipper pull! Because of the indentations and deep cuts, so to speak, they never come out good from my molds. I tried to make them by hand but they don't look as good. Any ideas for the pull?
