So my friend wants me to make a cake like this gorgeous Minnie Mouse Cake that Tiffany29 made http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2022207

Would you make the bow and the ears that are on top of the cake out of fondant or gum paste and why?

Can I pre-make the bow, ears on top of the cake, and the minnie mouse head with bows in advance and if so how far in advance could I make them and how should I store them?

One last question, the little minnie mouse heads with the bows that are on the second layer, are lose just made out of 2 difference size circle cutters or is there a special mickey/minnie mouse cutter out there?

Thanks for any help you can give a newbie

You can use a 1/2 fondant and 1/2 gum paste for the bow and ears..you can make them several days, if not weeks ahead, so they dry hard. The 1/2 & 1/2 combo dries harder than just fondant alone.

The little minnys are two different circle cutters, yes. Those you can do when you do the cake. Good luck, post a picture....hope this helps.
