Wanted to make a bird cage topper for a wedding cake, to sit on top of a 6 in tier, if I made it out of gumpaste, maybe used a mug to build it in and let it dry, do you think it would be sturdy enough? hold up? should I be safe and make 2 of em? thanks for any ideas icon_smile.gif

I'm making the same thing and I think it'll work. What I plant do is to make the gum paste bars thicker than a real cage so that it'll be more stable. Oh,and it's always a good idea to make two.....you never know what'll happen!
