Cake Serving Sizes?

I'm trying to work out pricing for my cakes and wondered about how serving sizes go for round cakes? I read on one site that a 6 inch cakes serves about 8 people, 8 inch - 15 people, and 9 inch 22 people. Does this seem accurate?

A lot of members use Wilton's wedding serving size of 1x2x4" for all their cakes (wedding & party):
