Looking For A Source For Large Sugar Diamonds...

I need to find approximately a 2" sugar diamond for a cake order for the end of this month...

I don't do pured sugar stuff, but would like to in the future, just not ready to jump into that pool yet...

Can anyone direct me to where I might get my hands on something like this, either from an online vendor or someone who i can contract to make it for me...?

I've purchased edible gems from a couple of places. This vendor has great stuff. The largest I saw was 3/4", though.

I've never seen a two inch edible gem. I've purchased edible diamonds from Squires, and don't recall seeing a sugar gem that large on the order page.

I have read about edible gems being made by melting clear mints, but I've never tried it. You'd need a gem mold (not expensive) if you want to give that a go.

I've seen the big diamonds at michaels and you can make your own molds.

she also says where she got the mold and I think you can use sugar and corn syrup, but they will not be as clear.
