Just Made My First Cake...quick Question!

I just finished my first cake which is for my daughters birthday tomorrow. I must say I am quite impressed with myself - will post a pic tomorrow. In the meantime, I am not sure if I should put it in the firdge. I used the buttercream recipe that has butter in it. Does it have to be placed in the fridge because of the buttercream??

tx ulimited! I was actually just thinking that I want to store it in the over so DD does not see it. I don't have a cake box or anything. Would it be a bad idea to keep it in the over overnight? (I am just thinking no aire circulation, etc...)
