Business By kimcakes99 Updated 14 Jun 2011 , 3:33pm by jason_kraft
Hi,
finally I can bake and sell cakes from my home.
I have been checking prices all over charlotte's bakeries.I am very comfused about the prices. The prices change so much from one bakery to another.I don't want to undercharge or overcharge. So my question is,how much do you charge per slice?
I will be doing cakes from scratch.I will be using buttercream, ganache, swiss meringue buttercream, and fondant.
I you want to share your prices with me you can send me a PM.
Thank you for your help! ![]()
Your prices should be based on your own costs (ingredients, labor, and overhead) plus a profit margin. Checking the prices competitors charge should only be a validation of your pricing structure.
Exactly that is what I want to do
I am checking the general prices to compare them with mine.
Thank you very much Jason.I have been reading all the great advices you have been giving here.
I almost forgot, are they conchas bread that are in your website?
I love conchas I make them in all kind of flavors ![]()

We used to make vegan conchas bread (called pan dulce here) based on a customer request, but we've since discontinued that item due to lack of demand.
