I am dying to try the Buttercream Dream frosting...it's getting rave reviews. I was wondering if this is a crusting buttercream? does it need to be refrigerated?
Any advise would be helpful.
This is all I use. It does not need refrigerated. Has a light crust. I do not do the Melvira nor Viva method for smoothing my icing, so I'm not sure if it will work with this recipe. Maybe someone else can answer that.

I use heavy whipping cream. But for the most part, depending on the humidy...I don't need any liquid. If I do, it is only about 2T...usually in the summer months. I have used French Vanilla liquid coffee creamer and French Vanilla extract and that combo was super yum!
