Are you refering to PVC pipes? b/c I would agree with you. I know the pipes are for water use, but the water is meant to be running through the inside of the pipe, not the out side where all of the ink is stamped indicating the size, etc. I used PVC pipes for the first time and I wrapped them all in Press N Seal, as recommended by a CC member. I just didn't feel comfortable putting RKTs and cake directly against the PVC.
It also seems that they put cake directly on wood, shouldn't they wrap it in foil?
I'm a beginner, but it does seem unsafe to me. Even if the possibility of someone getting sick is remote, it still doesn't seem worth the risk.
