How do you make fondant and/or gumpaste silver or gold? I have a lacquer to paint silver and gold on but is there a product to actually make the fondant silver all the way through?
Now, I know someone out there knows the answer to this!!! Please HELP!!
No, I'm pretty sure the only way to get it true silver or gold is to paint the fondant. I wish they would come out with something to make it metallic.
You are better off using an airblush machine to paint your fondant, normally if I want the fondant silver use gray fondant, and if I want the fondant Gold, I use yellow fondant. here is the link to the airbrush color.

If you dont have an airbrush machine then use this product, I only recoment this product to paint small things because it takes 30 minutes to dry between coats.

search for this product in google Gold Edible Fondant Glaze 20 grams, it is so stupid this forum does not let me post the link.
I did sliver fondant and BC not long ago
I used grey fondant & then brushed it with silver luster dust.... As for the BC I also used grey BC & then sprayed Duff's silver spray on them..
