I am in need of a good dense cake recipe for carved cakes! I am going to be making a car cake soon and want a nice dense yet moist and flavorful cake recipe for it! Any flavor welcome! White or Yellow is most commonly enjoyed! Thank you for any help.

Thank you for the recipe, I had been using the pudding mix in the cakes but felt they were a bit dry, the sour cream was exactly what was missing, I made one and it seems sturdy, I have yet to taste it but I am sure it will be wonderful. thank you again!
I also use the durable chocolate cake recipe found here. I love it! and use it for any flavor, (Duncan Hines only in our house)
