So i am making my hubby his birthday cake next weekend and need some cake flavor ideas that will knock his socks off. His favor flavor base is chocolate. Any ideas are greatly appreciated...

Maple and Chocolate covered bacon, dark chocolate creme de menthe, chocolate irish cream, turtle cake, hazelnut cappucino, chocolate praline, kahlua fudge, s'mores

I take a white cake and add maple syrup instead of the water or milk. Then I fill it with maple buttercream and sprinkle chocolate covered bacon pieces on top of that. I continue layering and usually finish with maple buttercream and more sprinkled bacon.

KAF put out a new recipe called Lemon Cloud and chocolate raspberry mousee...both sound yummy. The ingredients sound a bit pricey - so I am on the hunt for reasonable replacements.
