What is the best paste to use to make plaques. I tried making them from MEXICAN PASTE; but they started to dry very quickly as soon as the paste was rolled. I need them to be strong and allow me time to maybe emboss them.
If someone can give me a recepie, I will really appreciate.

I've made them with gumpaste, but I'd try pastillage. Although it dries fast, I think you'll have time to roll it out and cut it, if you work fast.
