I have a 3 tiered cake to decorate tomorrow night so I baked them all tonight. Top and bottom tiers are yellow and middle is chocolate. I was about 2 oz short on sour cream (grr) so I halved the recipe. The entire recipe would have been too much so I thought id be ok. Well... this tier is almost 1" shorter than the others which are 4". My question is...should I fill it thicker?? Or just suck it up and rebake?

I would rebake. :-/ Adding more filling will take away from the stability of the tier.

I'd rebake or bake a one inch layer.
