Does anyone know a way to make royal icing extra strong?
I was wondering how mixing a bit of gum tragacanth powder into it would work? I've tried making 'unbreakable gel'...it's unbreakable alright, but it shrank out of shape as it dried when I used it. So I wondering if something like a cross between unbreakable gel and royal icing might be super-strong, but retain it's shape when drying? Anyone tried mixing the two or have a recipe they use?
