3D Panther Cake

I have a request for a 3D panther cake and would really appreciate any tips of how to start this cake. I am having trouble finding any instructions online and there aren't many 3D panther cakes in the gallery or forum posts about it so I'm sort of lost.

would help, if we knew for how many persons the cake should be for

will keep on looking, easiest would be a panther lying down though

WOW! Thanks so much! I had originally planned on doing a panther lying down because like you said it will be easier... Big structures intimidate me but I'd love to try it sometime... Thanks for the help!
