anyone have the instructions on how to create a cross cake shape from a slab cake?

Cut the cake vertically down the center. That will be the horizontal cross piece. Take the other vertical slab and cut about a third of it for the top of the cross and the rest will be the bottom. Very easy. A quarter sheet cake will need to go on a half sheet board. A half sheet cake will need to go on a full sheet board. HTH
