I currently have the Kitchen Aid Artisan 325Watts & they have the KitchenAid Deluxe 5 Stand Mixer Plus on sale now so I was wondering if its worth buying & replacing it with the Artisan.
Has anyone tried it before?

Well you'd get a free blender out of the deal. A nice bonus if you don't have one. I'd be happier if they offered free shipping too, but even so, the shipping amount they're asking is not bad for a heavy stand mixer.

I could be mistaken but it looks like you'd be buying the same size bowl or almost the same size bowl as you have now? The deluxe 5 has a stronger motor and a lift up bowl yes, but the bowl itself according to the specs say 5 quart. The KA website states the Artisan stand mixer you already have, has a 5 quart bowl also.

If anything, you might want to hold off and go for a bigger mixer with a bigger bowl like the 6 quart pro. They go on sale quite regularly too.

Also, one thing you want to remember is all KA products are whirlpool products now so they're not made as sturdy as the old KA workhorses that could handle anything you put in them.
Check the link. Not much to it, just a few comments but theres one commentor talking about the mixer model you want to buy, being the exact same as a model sold in the US. Both are the same mixer but different names in different countries. The deluxe 5 being the model sold mainly in Canada.

HTH

I forgot to add. You might want to check out the 7 quart Cuisinart, the 7 quart Viking, and other brands before making your decison. Theres lots of good models out there.

I have two KAs, one very old one that still works like a charm, the limited edition ruby red KA anniversary edition with the glass bowl (a surprise gift) that works okay but not as great as my old KA, and a 7 qt Viking I bought for double batches of whatever, as my 6 qt KA pro couldn't cut it.

One more link for you. Its a good discussion on stand mixers.
