Need Suggestions On Purse Cake

I have to do a zebra purse cake to feed 50 people and also they want it to be butter cream. I am nervous on how it will look just being butter cream w/fondant accent!! If anyone could help w/ some advice/ ideas I would so.... appreciate it!

i never made a zebra purse cake, but i have done zebra cakes with buttercream and fondant accents. it really isnt that hard, cover the cake with buttercream, let it crust and then smooth it out using the viva method. then cut strips out of black fondant, brush some water where you want it to go and then place the strip on the cake...

as long as you get the buttercream as smooth as possible then i think everything will be fine...
