Freezing A Fondant Covered Cake?

Has anyone ever successfully frozen a cake covered in fondant?

yes. I froze the 2 leftover cakes from my gi-normous Spiderman cake. I took one out yesterday, left it on the counter all day then unwrapped it. It was fine. The fondant seemed a wee bit softer but that's about it. I was pleasantly surprised!
