anyone know of an easy-to-use web program? i'd love to have a website/page with all my cake pics on it. so far i've tried freewebs.com and geocities.... no luck. this is getting really frustrating. creating the basic page isn't hard, it's adding my pics thats causing me trouble. we just got highspeed internet service.... so shouldn't uploading files be a bit easier? thanks in advance for any advice! ~erica

Try Startlogic. They have a gallery you can add, and I really like it. I paid $4.95 monthly for 2 years up front.

My 14-year old set me up with a supplemental webpage on www.flickr.com (no "e" in "Flicker"). There's a LOT of space for pics. I have a link to my flickr site on my actual website, so while I'm limited on the number of pics on my biz website, I can detour folks to this supplemental site, where I have a LOT of room for all the pics I want.

My regular website is thru register.com.

I also have a website on freewebs. I have dsl and it seems like once you go to upload the pics, the whole thing freezes. I have found that if you get to the screen wehre it says processing, just close the window and reopen explorer and your site again. A major pain, but faster than waiting for it, and it does upload your picture, so at least it works. The thing I don't like is that you are limited to the number of pics you can put on it as a free member. I have to remove something to add a new one.

I am also open to suggestions. I will check into these sites that were mentioned to see how they look. Any other good ideas anyone? Keep them coming!

For a little bit more money you can get a winklet. You can use it over and over for as many different hobbies, websites as you want to. (for example if I wanted to I coud use it for my photography business and my cake business. (witha different address of course)

It's super easy to use, no knowledge of html necessary. They have a couple different ones to choose from.

Here is mine:

www.amyscakesandcookies.com

(still a work in progress as I am not legal or currently selling cakes, when we get moved into our new house I will be ready to go though)

My instructor told me about doteasy.com. I haven't used it but I think it was relatively cheap (and easy!).
