How On Earth Do I Make This Fondant Twirl?!

hi there!
Can anyone advise me on how i make this fondant twirl?
i will try and upload this picture now...i dont think its by twirling a piece of fondant around a pencil because i think that would crack but i may be wrong, any suggestions?

For twirls I usually do a fondany gumpaste blend 50/50.
And then twirl around a pencil, pen, dowel.. whatever.
It works well

Yeah, do 50/50. Just fondant does work, but it's much more delicate and likes to break easier when dry.

If I am going to use a dowel to wrap it around, I first tape a little wax paper around the dowel so the dried fondant will slide off easier. Sometimes the dowels are a little rough.

I wrap mine around a dowel or something and let it dry for an hour or so and them pull out the dowel and let it dry the rest of the way. I also use 50/50 fondant and gumpaste.
