Help! How Do I Pipe Elmo & Cookie Monster Like That?

I have to make a cake with this Elmo & Cookie Monster and I have no idea how to do.. I am pretty new at this cake decorating stuff. Please help! [/img]

hard to tell but those look like little overlapping loops of icing-not fun to do (at least for me)! Instead of loops I would use the grass/hair tip from Wilton for the hair. But of course, that is just what would do- there are probably more opinions out there, they just haven't posted them! icon_biggrin.gif

I made elmo for one of my first cakes ( in my pics) and I did what the previous poster suggested and used the small grass tip. It worked perfectly!

When I made my cookie monster I used the large grass tip #233. It worked great. HTH

I used a star tip on cookie and liked it more than when I used the grass tip on Elmo:

I have an Elmo cake order coming up fast. I like like like the look of that star tip for the fur. What size star tip is that?
