Need Suggestions On How To Make A Black Cake Board, Please.

I am making a Pacman birthday cake and want to put it on a black cake board. Any suggestions on how to make one? It will be holding 3 - 8" cakes, so it will need to be about 12x36. I don't think I want to paint it, even though there are non-toxic paints, but not sure what to cover it with. Thanks!

Cover it in black fondant or black foil. Or black paper or fabric and top with clear contact-type plastic. Fondant will require a bit of drying time...

Whatever you decide to cover it with, make sure that your cakes are on their own boards so they aren't in direct contact with any coverings that aren't food safe, like Contact Paper.

Michael's sells a clear cellophane that is food safe. I use black wrapping paper covered with the cellophane.

you could always use a black foam coar board. they come in various thicknesses and are fairly easy to work with.
