Fondant Keeps Cracking?

I am trying to make flowers for cupcakes but every time I cut the flowers out, they seem to start cracking and eventually petals start falling off

That is because your fondant is drying out. When you are not using the fondant at that time you need to keep it wrapped until you are ready to use it. Even if you use just a little bit of it when you are done wrap it back up. Also when you set your flowers down to harden up if they for some odd reason start to crack put some of the gum glue where it is cracking at and it will seal it back up so it will not do that. Good trick i learned when i took the cake classes
