Poured Fondant..!?!

hey can someone tell me what is poured fondant? How is it different from rolled fondant? What will it's texture be like once the cake is covered with poured fondant and it dries? Which type of fondant is better for frosting cakes?

It what is used to pour over petit fours. I don't know why it is called that cuz it is nothing like the "fondant" we are all used to.

Poured fondant for cakes is a bit different than petit four fondant. Check the link. Its CakeJournals tutorial on how to cover cupcakes with poured fondant. (Lots of other good tutorials on her website too)
