Charm City Cakes (Ace of Cakes) is now selling "Cakes for Two" for $250 each.
3 layer 8" cakes that aren't customizable - about 15 servings.
Wow...$250 for an 8" cake. Can you say "Cha Ching"?
Wow....if only all of us could charge that for a 8"cake......wonder how many people will buy those cakes at that price??? That would be interesting to know
WOW! Talk about not your grocery store cake or PRICE!! And you can't customize...well that's what happens when your famous!! That's like $16 a serving!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the site, it says that they recognize most people cannot afford their custom-made creations but know that some people still wish to try one of their cakes AND be able to step inside their shop - so for this LOW price, they can do both. However, it lists their "Cakes for Two" pick up times as only one hour a day, Tues - Sat.
More power to him...clearly he has that kind of market so it's pretty smart, IMO. No doubt people WILL be buying these. (though I wouldn't be one of them)
