Help!!! Need Ideas Asap!

Hello all. My husband's uncle is having a huge birthday bash this Friday and he insists he wants me to make him cupcakes, but I have NO IDEAS. He does want the cupcakes to spell his name which is easy enough, but my dilemma is colors, flavors, techniques. I want to WOW everyone. Please direct me to any ideas or suggestions. It will be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks CC family.
Does he have any interests? Favorite colors? Hobbies? Favorite foods?
It's hard for us to suggest anything as all we know is he's a man who's possibly middle aged (guessing)...
Good idea! He likes music a lot. He'll be 60 years old, but I don't think he wants the age involved. LOL
