Are you sanding/softening in some way the corners? I wasn't, at first, and my fondant would tear.
Sorry I can't say what size I use, I really never measure, and I use a much thinner fondant than I did at first so I wouldn't recommend starting with it.
Anywho, I find I use the same thickness of fondant as I do on reg cakes so, if you find you need thicker with dummies, you may need to soften those edges. ![]()
