Spun sugar has a very short life - hours. Moisture is the enemy. Humidity in the air causes it to melt. Think about what happens to cotton candy when you put it in your mouth. ![]()
Spun sugar is a bunch of very fine strands of sugar. Cooked sugar can be pulled into a thin strand or other shape. It can also be stretched, pulled and folded over itself to give a satin sheen.
