Cleaning Up A Chocolate Tiara

I piped a white chocolate tiara (template on a can for the shape) and had to do it in stages to allow the chocolate to harden before turning the can to do the other side. There are some lines at the seam, and some other spots that I would like to tidy up before calling this little project finished. I'm wondering what the best way is to do the finishing tidy ups that are required? Would it be best to use a sharp hobby knife, or heat up a spatula and melt the chocolate to make it smooth again? Any other ideas that I haven't thought of, or am I just out of luck and need to try it again?

This is my first attempt at working with chocolate so if I should add anything to the chocolate I didn't realize it. I was using melted white chocolate melts. Thanks!
