How To Chocolate Drizzle On Cake

I am looking to make a chocolate & raspberry cake, here is a photo example.


Do I just use chocolate, melt it down and pipe it on, allowing it to drizzle? or do I use a cretin kind of chocolate?

Also, I would love a good raspberry & Chocolate cake recipe

I agree with Icer101, that is an awesome link. If you check out my pics I just used this video when I did the stacked drizzle cake. Worked GREAT!
