I am making a very large jungle cake that will be about 3 feet by 4 feet with differnet animals on top but I am at loss on how to make the jungle scene with palm trees and brushes and what not. Any ideas, I have a ton of cake to cover so the more ideas the better.

I recommend looking through the galleries here on CC as well as a Google or Bing image search for "jungle cake". Try flickr.com too.

Regarding the 3x4 foot cake... Is it staying where you're decorating it? Because it won't fit through a standard doorway nor in most vehicles.

I just made my first Jungle cake too. This was my second cake using Palm Trees. And last time my fondant palm leaves crumbled on me so this time I went and bought a couple of sprigs of fern pics and cut the leaves off . I hot glued several leaves together sandwiching a couple of pins in between and then used the pins to set the leaves on top of my Palm Tree. It worked like a charm!!
