Upside Down Open Umbrella Cake

Hi guys, my SIL is having her baby shower next month and wants an upside down open umbrella cake. How would I go about making this. Any advice would be very helpful. theme for the shower is April Showers, May flowers

I'm confused... does she want the cake to just be an umbrella or does she want a modelled umbrella on a cake say an 8" round for example?
And when you say upside down do you mean this http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/2490/2490,1147107242,27/stock-photo-upside-down-umbrella-1290711.jpg that is what I would think when someone said upside down umbrella.
Or do you mean as if someone was holding an umbrella?

lisapeps she wants an actual cake looking like an umbrella on it's bottom side with the handle in the air sitting on top a round or square cake.
