I'm going to attempt my first roses on a cake in the next week or so and wanted to add that technique that makes it seem like water drops are on them. Does anyone know what they are called/how to make them? Thanks!! icon_confused.gif

Gelatine droplets, These tiny droplets look like raindrops when they are used as part of the decorations on cakes.
2 tablespoons cold water
2 teaspoons powdered gelatin.
pm me if you want the instructions.

Thought I would post it here.
Put water in a small heatproof bowl sprinkle over gelatine and leave to soften for 2 - 3 minutes. Stand bowl in a saucepan of hot water and heat very gently stirring until gelatine has completely dissolved. Stretch some plastic wrap over a board. Suck up dissolved gelatine in a dropper then dot it over the plastic wrap a drop at a time. Leave to dry before sticking onto leaves. I got this off this site but as yet have not done it. I'm sure there are other ways too. Clear piping gel? Good Luck

Briarview, what do you mean by a heatproof bowl?
