Ok I am finally getting rid of the old hand mixer and getting me a ka! Yay! Is ther anything I should know before picking one out?
I love my kitchen aid, would be without one. Spend the extra and get the large bowl one.
I totally agree with mckinscake...get the big sucker lol . I have had a 6qt for 10 yrs and can't imagine going down to a smaller bowl. I can make HUGE batches of batter/icing/cookie dough and it really cuts down on prep time. It's sort of like a double oven--you may not need it all the time BUT, when you do, it's worth it's weight in gold! Also, if you can swing it budget-wise, get an extra bowl. You won't regret it!
Other than the largest bowl you can get, I would also spring for one with a higher wattage if you can afford it, especially if you plan on making fondant.
I figure it's an long term investment and my Aunt still uses her KA from almost 3 decades ago, so get the best one you can and the one you really want =).
