How To Acheive Bright Pink Sugarpaste??

Hi, I need some bright candy coloured sugarpaste for a cake I am making tomorrow... I have normal pink sugar paste colour.. How can I get a bright pink??

Also I have red colour paste that has gotten too thick... Anyone know how I can thin it out a little bit? Can I use a small amount of clear alcohol maybe?

I managed to make bright pink accidently using red - obviously I was going for very red but it came out bright pink. As for thinning it I would try a little alcohol but have never done this before so please don't take my word for it.
