Cutting A Tiered Party Cake...

I am making a cake for 50 people and will probably be the one to cut the cake as well. First of all, will a two-layer 6" round stacked on a two-layer 10" round be enough cake for 50? Also, how do I cut the cake appropriately?? Help!
