I'm going to be making a wedding cake for 200 people, and I'm not sure what to charge... they got quoted from a company here in calgary for $6.50 a slice, thats $1300 - which i would not charge.. I make cakes out of my house and I've been doing it for about a year now... I would give somewhat of a deal because I know the person... what do you think?
You'll need to figure up your cost for your recipes, equipment, overheads, labor etc.... Here is another pricing topic that TexasSugar goes into great detail all in one thread (so you don't have to read lots of them) on how to figure your prices.
