Friend wants a cake that has cupcakes pressed into the side of the cake. 2 tiers. I've done this with ice cream cones, but not cupcakes. I guess I would make a fondant cupcake wrapper, as a real one will probably unravel and look sloppy. Has anyone done this? Do you know of a photo? Nothing is coming up during a search. Thanks!

I can't imagine what that would look like.. Or why she would want it!

Mini reese's cups look just like cupcake bottoms. You could cut them in half or just stick them in. HTH!

Don't know if this will help or not...but I believe it is Bakerella that does the cakepops....(just a mixture of cake and icing coated in melted candies)...and i saw some really cute cupcake shaped ones?.... They would be lightweight, on a stick...and would look like little cupcakes, without the risk of them falling off the cake. Best of Luck on this cake! Hope all goes well!
