White Puffle Cake

Hi there
Have been asked to do a white puffle cake (which I had to google!) Just wondered if anyone had an ideas for the hair. Will do a flat cake rather than a standing up one and am happy about how to do the face features. Was thinking of piping layers and layers for the hair but if anyone can think of anything to help that would be great.

I would do the hair with fondant so it could dry a bit and stick out from the top of the cake.
